Injuries are common with beginner students and learning the art isn’t as easy as people think it is. Many grappling schools won’t admit to this but the fact is many people injure their neck, back, knees and shoulders when starting a grappling program.
Truthfully, most instructors are banged up from years of abuse on their bodies and this was a major concern of ours when we decided to integrate grappling in our schools.
